Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Peer review/Alice Askew
Another contributor to/commentator on this biography page was asking if a new page should be created for Claude Askew - husband of Alice Askew - which would inevitably duplicate a lot of the same information. I would repeat this question; while also suggesting an alternative: replacing the present page titled: 'Alice Askew' with another titled: 'Alice & Claude Askew'.
Mind you, I'm not sure if this would conform to the established biography guidelines/templates. But, as I also commented on the talk page, this married couple were known primarily for being a 'husband-and-wife' team in all their major endeavours - following their marriage, of course.
These endeavours included writing a very large number of popular novels and short stories - and always under their joint authorship: 'Alice & Claude Askew'. They also served together in relief operations with a British field hospital, which was attached to the Serbian army during World War I - at the same time as both writing as special correspondents for the British newspaper, Daily Express. And they ended up dying together, when they both drowned in the Aegean Sea, after the ship they were travelling on was torpedoed and sank.
But if a joint page would not be considered appropriate, then I do think a separate page for 'Claude Askew' should be initiated. And I do have a lot of material on him (even if a lot of it would be virtually duplicated from that of his wife) - but also including at least one photograph of him - in his uniform, that I will be happy to contribute.
So, I would be very interested to hear some comments on this question. Candelar (talk) 00:52, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
