The official WikiProject Piracy has been created and has since merged with the proposed piracy WikiProject which was organized last summer.
The project now has an organized crime forum, which has been moved from the proposed Organized crime WikiProject and has been created specifically for the purposes of discussing organized crime and organized crime related topics on Wikipedia.

On a sad note, User:Wooyi has temporarily chosen to take a leave of absence from Wikipedia. User:Wooyi was the founder of Wikipedia:WikiProject Criminal Biography and assisted in merging the older WP:CRIME as well as being involved in other projects such as the concept of a crime-related newsletter.
An excellent online resource, a website established by the Library of Congress associated with its newspaper digitisation project, covers 25 major U.S. newspapers between 1900-1910.
