To help with looking through videos, finding what's good, helping organize materials, etc. Also, to look through the NARA online catalogue and create a wish list of materials to get digitized.

Washington D.C. area

[edit]

To come to NARA II in College Park, Maryland and help with digitizing, usually on Saturdays. There is a free shuttle bus from the College Park metro, and probably possible to arrange rides. We may get photos sent to the main Archives facility downtown, so it's more convenient for folks to come help. (Feel free to also help with online tasks)

Please also signup for the IASL (International Amateur Scanning League) Google Group: [1]

  1. --Qwerty0 (talk) 01:36, 21 October 2010 (UTC) Hey I'd be interested in trying out some scanning. A while ago I saw a talk by Malamud and thought he's fighting a good fight.[reply]
  1. --Tgideon (talk) 19:45, 13 November 2010 (UTC) I am one of the master scanners already working at the NARA campus in College Park, MD (Nara2). After you sign up for the Google Group, please introduce yourself there. I go to NARA2 about once a month and am always willing to help new volunteers get registered as researchers and learn the process for duplicating DVDs.[reply]
  1. Edsu (talk) 20:04, 13 November 2010 (UTC) I am software developer working at the Library of Congress and would like to help out. I guess the best way to get involved is to drop by on Saturday?[reply]
