Music and production

[edit]

"Walking on Sunshine" is an uptempo dance song with a length of three minutes and forty-six seconds (3:46).[1] The official Metro remix was produced by Mark Taylor and Jeff Taylor.[2] Larry Katz of Boston Herald called the remix a " thumping disco makeover" of the original.[3]

Reception

[edit]

Jon Pareles of Rolling Stone called the song a "speedy pop-trance workout" in which "stringy sounds are replaced by brittle techno blips."[4] Kylie Savio of Orlando Sentinel praised the dance track, writing that it's sure to be a "crowd pleaser".[5] A writer from Gazette Live said that it was their "personal highlight" of J.Lo, commenting that: "it's got a really positive feel and good vibe."[6] Allison Stewart from the Chicago Tribune labeled the song as "irresistible."[7]
