This course covers advanced topics in biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics. A major portion of the course entails assigned paper presentations by student groups on cutting edge research in life sciences. The students additionally conceive and prepare a scientific proposal. For the Wiki Edu assignment, students will be assigned an enzyme at the beginning of the semester to research and provide wikipedia edits throughout the semester. They will then give a presentation on the enzyme and their wikipedia page editing experience at the end of the semester.
