Two dates and times are suggested

[edit]
  • First Date and start time: 12:00EST (noon) 06 Sept 2012
This being the last day of the Democratic National Convention, citizens and visitors will be letting loose in an almost party mood. Nothing could be more quintessentially American.
  • Second Date and start time: 15:00EST 21 Sept 2012
This allows for a very different view of the centre city area — almost empty on the weekend
  • Starting point: The Southwest corner of Trade & Tryon — smack in the heart of downtown. With enough participation, we can break into groups and divide the city into quadrants — focusing on the more interesting parts of each area (such as NoDa, UNCC, Latta Plantation, etc.)
I'll have a small white sign with a Creative Commons logo, and will stay in place until 15:30pm.
  • After-party place and time (optional): Brixx™ Wood-fired Pizza Uptown 19:00EST
Afterwards, everyone is welcome to to gather at [Brixx™ Pizza] Uptown around 7pm. We can exchange and upload photos, and discuss our experiences. I'm going to begin making a list of landmarks, public art, and other noteworthy spots to photograph between now and then. Please feel free to add your own ideas to the list.
