Instructions how to categorize feedback, and add to the content list & voting/supporting.

[edit]

Hello, I know that this is the talk page for the feedback help page and that this page is only for adding to that article. Maybe on the help page, there can be guidance on how to categories feedback and suggestions. This below is my suggestion for the feedback page, and this can be applied with instructions to the feedback help page as well. Please see my entry at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help_talk:Editing/feedback#Allow_Feedback_to_be_categorized_in_the_contents_list._Allow_feedback_voting.2Fsupporting This can be applied to this page as well. I did not want to write it here to avoid duplication.
Im only aloud to monitor my own talk page. Please notify on that page regarding any activity on this issue. Thanks

Not a good feedback tool

[edit]

This feedback tool is not facilitating feedback; it is getting in the way.Magneticlifeform (talk) 04:09, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Completely agree. I don't know if I am more perturbed at how bad it is or at how I cannot find the proper venue to discuss this within 2 obvious clicks. Where are the links, guys? Am I blind or is it needlessly hard to get to a discussion on this without going through he history of the Village Pump or Signpost?Cptnono (talk) 06:51, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And of course: Bitching about people bitching about people bitching... We must go deeper.Cptnono (talk) 06:56, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback vs Talk

[edit]

What is the difference between the pages for Talk and Feedback? Perhaps, if you want to complain, post to Feedback, but if you want to change the article yourself and want some preliminary advice, post to Talk? Kindly add a topic on "What are some Talk Page/Feedback Page differences?" to HELP for ARTICLE FEEDBACK. Jerry-va (talk) 14:51, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Warning needed for IP users

[edit]

I am sad, because this tool is publishing sb. IP without his permission, when he is not logged in. Please add a Warning, or print anonymus or sth. Thank you.

Which pages have Feedback option?

[edit]

What are the criteria for a page to have a feedback link placed on it?

I don't see many pages with the link. The few that I do see, haven't actually had any feedback. - 109.176.201.214 (talk) 19:46, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

All pages have the option to leave feedback on them, except if made excempt by admins. Mdann52 (talk) 13:58, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In Special:ArticleFeedbackv5/DSPlayer/839586 an intended wikilink ended up as plain text. This beta-feedback feature might be not as it should be, and asking for feedback about the feedback-tool by e-mail is hilarious. Hic Rhodus, etc. –89.204.138.20 (talk) 22:41, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How the h@ck do I add feedback?

[edit]

When I browse an article there is no post feedback button or anything like that, I am just reading other people's feedback. I am not logged in but I expect to be able to post though I'm not...

Sheesh...........

On articles that have the feature enabled on them, there should be a box at the bottom of the article page. However, at the moment, it appears that the tool may be removed in the next few weeks. Thanks, Mdann52 (talk) 11:04, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

At Help:Introduction to uploading images/1, a new editor recently enabled the feedback link. When I go to Special:ArticleFeedbackv5/Help:Introduction_to_uploading_images/1 and click the icon at the top right, I see an option to *enable* feedback. I then left some dummy feedback, hoping to stir things up, but I'm still only seeing the option to *enable* feedback. Any suggestions? (And is anyone watching this page?) -- John of Reading (talk) 06:59, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done Added to blacklist category (FYI, I believe you need to be a reviewer/rollbacker to physically activate feedback). --Mdann52talk to me! 11:07, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thanks for adding the category. I'm not sure about your reviewer/rollbacker comment; see Special:Log/MKalab. -- John of Reading (talk) 11:20, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
