Proposal to put an end to these shenanigans without forcing anyone to stay open to recall (everyone is free to remove themselves during the one-week window). --Random832 (contribs) 23:06, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the frustration that brought about this proposal. But,.... First, the admin recall process is still too confusing to be made mandatory, I think. Until the process means the same thing to most users, I do not think that it can be made mandatory. Second, I'm opposed to a binding non-revocable policy that makes two different accountability levels for admins. FloNight♥♥♥ 00:36, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ditto. What we need is a streamlined ArbCom, which may include an empowered ArbCom subcommittee set up to act as an admin tribunal, and can both deal exclusively and "fasttrack" these issues to response more appropriately to community concerns. -- Avi (talk) 04:33, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
