Strange essay[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Contort_the_citations&action=history What is this nonsense? QuackGuru (talk) 19:36, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

(copied from User talk:HLHJ#Strange essay)

Hi, QuackGuru. I'm attempting to write an essay about a specific problem over which we have had conflicts; it's now in a more finished state than my first version. I would really appreciate a more detailed critique, if you have time to make one; I would like to see this issue from your perspective. You will note that I linked to an essay of yours; I'd be happy to critique that, if you think it would be useful. A major reason for this essay was my hope that discussing it will not only lead to a better essay, but to more mutual understanding and less conflict with you. It seems like a possible constructive dispute-resolution mechanism.
I'd also be glad of any suggestions for a metaphor less gruesome than Procrustes, but just as memorable and to-the-point. I can't think of one. HLHJ (talk) 04:15, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
