use of dispute templates[edit]

I have recently tried to use a {{Disputed title}} template. Another editor did not like the use of the template and persisted in removing it eventually invoking the 3RR. My impression that removal of templates before the dispute was finalised was uncivil, but in Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts the issue was dismissed and I was told I was Wikipedia:Wikilawyering. Maybe this will serve as a warning for others that use of dispute templates is futile.--mrg3105 (comms) If you're not taking any flak, you're not over the target. 09:34, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Added {{Essay}} tag[edit]

  • I don't see a Policy tag or a Guideline tag. By process of elimination, this must be an essay. I added an Essay tag, then. Ling.Nut (talk) 06:55, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Disputed map[edit]

I think we need an inline template to tag a map that's inaccurate, or whose accuracy is disputed? I don't think that the existing inline templates have the proper wording, plus a map-only template would be useful as a category, I'd like to create a new inline template for that. My current working idea is a {{disputed map}} which would add a text: "Map accuracy disputed" to the caption." We could also have a similar page template for the main map itself. PS. Please note that there is a page version of the map NPOV template, the {{POV-map}}. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:57, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
