I don't see any reason for change, and dislike these

[edit]

No offense intended, but I don't see the need for any of these changes, nor do I think the added structure is desirable. Mediation is a highly personal affair, and best handled without this kind of formalisation. The chair of MedCom should hand out cases, IMO, as they currently (should) do. --Improv 23:58, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Delay and structure

[edit]

Everyone is disappointed with the slow progress of Mediation at Wikipedia. I welcome any idea(s) which might speed things up.

We've tried all sorts of things, and I think it's only fair to give cello guy his chance.

I'm going to ask the Mediation Committee (via e-mail) to accept the two or three new Mediator applicants, and I'm going to work with the whole committee to find ways to streamline the process.

Mediation is indeed highly personal, so maybe reducing structure is the best thing. It's all about people anyway. Uncle Ed 12:05, September 9, 2005 (UTC)
