Martial Arts[edit]

Marek, the Martial Arts involves a lot of effort to learn, one must practice and master the rules. It is not just random kicking and punching. An interesting article, however IMO street fighting with bats and chains(like my old neighborhood) would be a better example of how some Wikipedia editors function! A good Wikipedia editor uses reliable sources just like a good martial arts fighter uses practiced skills to defeat an opponent--Woogie10w (talk) 01:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But that's sort of the point! Real martial arts are not like in the movies - you don't just say a magic phrase and whoop your opponents ass. Same thing with discussion and argument (in the constructive sense of that word) - you need to make actual arguments and explain your reasoning, not just quote a policy title shortcut.Volunteer Marek (talk) 02:54, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
