Updating Euronest Map

[edit]

Hey everyone,

I noticed that the file for the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly shows both Azerbaijan and Belarus in orange as "suspended members." When I checked the official Euronest website listing the current participating member states however, only Belarus seems to be suspended (or rather not participating). According to their website, as of 13 February 2023, Azerbaijan is represented by a full delegation at Euronest and is not suspended from the assembly. News reports from as recent as the past few weeks also state that Azerbaijan is both present and actively participating in the assembly (AzerNews, NEWS.am (an Armenian news source), Trend News Agency, etc.). Also, the Wikiarticle about Euronest also says itself that Azerbaijan is a full, participating member of the assembly. Please update the map so that Azerbaijan is recolored green (as the other non-EU members are). @Concus Cretus: Pinging file creator and will post this on additional talk pages. Sorry for the bother, thanks for the help, and feel free to ping me with any questions/comments!

Starting this July, we will see a new contest on the scene - the Developing Countries WikiContest (WP:DCWC)! Think of it as a WikiCup but only for articles and media on developing countries.

Competitors may submit GAs, GTs, FAs, FTs, FLs, FPs, and DYK and ITN entries from/on developing countries to gain points and climb the leaderboard. Points are also awarded to those who review GAs, FAs and FLs.

Azerbaijan is listed as a developing country for the purposes of this contest and articles related to it are eligible to be submitted for points, so I encourage everyone here to sign up and compete with editors from around the world to create high-quality content!

Append your name to the DCWC signup page today!

Best wishes, Wilhelm Tell DCCXLVI (talk to me!/my edits) 07:29, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mass substraction of information on Azerbaijani Literature Page

[edit]

Hi,

For the past couple of months, several IP addresses from the same location (most probably the same person) have subtracted a substracted massive amount of information from the Azerbaijani literature page for various reasons. Can someone experienced check for vandalism?

The same person seems to be working towards separating the Azerbaijani language page into South and North Azerbaijani, although I do not know for what purpose. For example, they change Azerbaijani names in Iranian Azerbaijan-related pages to "Southern Azerbaijani."

Since I have encountered several examples of vandalism and the person does not have a username, I am monitoring every action. I will try to keep you informed here in the future as well. Göycen (talk) 00:46, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello WikiProject Azerbaijan:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

An article which may be of interest to members of this project—Orders, decorations, and medals of Azerbaijan—has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. Rusty 🐈 16:01, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
