Woodbridge High School is a public high school located in Irvine, California, serving grades 9-12. Founded in 1980, it has an approximate enrollment of 2,200 students. Woodbridge has many athletic teams (baseball, cross country, volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming, etc.) which have participated in numerous CIF competitions. The school also has a very competitive Marching band (which won many state championships and a national championship led by director Joslyne Blasdel and Brad Harris) and an orchestra. Woodbridge High School was built with intentions of having it become a shopping center if student enrollment was low, as Principal Tom Nelson said in Fall 2003. In the past two years, new administration has been added that includes all of the current Vice Principals: Jason Viloria, Sheila Adams, and Belinda Averill. In March 2008, Tom Nelson announced retirement and Vice Principal, Jason Viloria, became the new principal.

Woodbridge is currently undergoing many improvements and renovations. A recent example is the new Aquatic Center which contains a 50 meter by 25 yard swimming pool, portable bleachers, restroom facilities and locker rooms.

Of note, the 1989 movie Gleaming the Cube starring Christian Slater was filmed partially at Woodbridge High School.
