The wren-like rushbird (Phleocryptes melanops) is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is monotypic within the genus Phleocryptes.[citation needed] It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Its natural habitat is swamps.
