Xavier Iván Báez Gamiño (born July 22, 1987 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas) is a Mexican footballer, currently playing for Necaxa in the Liga MX

Club career

CD Gualadajara

Xavier debuted with Chivas on 17 April 2007 against Atlante F.C. in a 3–0 win for the Rojiblancos. He played four times for Chivas in the Clausura 2007 Tournament, and scored his first goal on April 21, 2007 in a 9–0 win over Veracruz.[1]

Deportivo Toluca FC

He was loaned to Toluca to wait for Omar Bravo's contract with Atlas to expire in December 2013. In the Clausura 2014, he was transferred to Cruz Azul as an exchange for the services of Omar Bravo.[1]

Cruz Azul

He was known for his outstanding performances prior to his debut in Cruz Azul. Baez was always in the starring lineup for Cruz Azul in the Clausura 2014 and the Apertura 2014. After Luis Fernando Tena was sacked in 2015, Cruz Azul appointed manager Sergio Bueno. Baez did not impress Bueno and therefore spent most of the Apertura 2015 on the bench.

Club Necaxa

It was confirmed by both clubs that Baez will be joining Club Necaxa for the Clausura 2016.][1]
