The name of this pose comes from "yoga" meaning "to unite", "mudra" meaning "seal", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".[1][2][3]

This seated yoga pose has many benefits: it opens the inside of the hips, opens the knees and ankles, stretches the lower back, opens the chest and front of the shoulders.
