Zhao Xuri (Chinese: 赵旭日) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Dalian Shide. He is a versatile midfielder that has also played for the China national football team.
Club career
Zhao Xuri rose to prominence with Sichuan Guancheng in 2003 playing 27 games and scoring 2 goals in his debut season[1]. The following season was to prove significantly more difficult as Zhao Xuri was injured through most of the season only making 9 appearances[2]. He was still highly regarded enough to be transferred to Dalian Shide where he continued to establish himself as a regular.
International career
His performances for Sichuan Guancheng were impressive enough for a call to the senior national team in 2003.
He was selected in the squad to participate in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup where he played in two group games in an unsuccessful competition for China[3].
In 2008 Zhao Xuri was eligible to play for the Football at the 2008 Summer Olympics - Men's tournament squad where he played two of the three group games in the tournament[4].
