Tips
- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Undergraduate theses
[edit]Hi - you seem to be adding a lot of external links to a particular university's online repository. There's nothing wrong with that if those links are to peer reviewed articles by scholars in academic journals; it becomes a problem however if you are adding links to undergraduate theses and the like. Please don't add any more links like that. Please also take a look at WP:COI, in case that it relevant to your situation. Girth Summit (blether) 09:49, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- And now you're linking to press releases hosted on the same repository which contain no relevant information at all. This is starting to look like spam - please stop. Girth Summit (blether) 10:02, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Girth Summit: To be fair, I've seen this repository being linked heavily on a crosswiki level so certain actions might be unavoidable. I'll check if any of those users besides this one affected enwiki as well. Best regards, A09|(talk) 13:44, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not necessarily against the repository - I haven't looked at in in any detail, but assuming it's a legitimate university there may well be useful documents to link to there. Indiscriminate linking to undergad theses, press releases and the like is a problem however - if you come across more examples from other accounts, please let me know. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page:
