GeoIslam Community is a web based group. Basically GeoIslam stands for Islam for peach and Geo for earth so it means peace of earth. The idea behind of creation of GeoIslam community is to work on Muslim civilization covering intellectual history of Muslims in realms of Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, arts and other branches of knowledge of human struggle. Islam basically provides superior coverage of essential interpretation of perceptions and realities required for an individual and group of people. GeoIslam Community led by [Maratib Ali Shad] is reviving motives and questions with answers of modern Muslim minds to re-building the glorious Islamic Civilization once Muslims had, why & how Muslim Scientists contributed in it.

The legacy of Muslims scholars and scientist is bestowed to European and other developed nations during last few centuries. After the European renaissance, the formal contribution of Muslim Scholars, thinkers and scientists seems freeze and un-united. The downfall of Muslim empires results the fall of Islamic intelligentsias and Muslim political authorities stop or avoid to patronise the research and intellectual works in the times when western colonialism was on peak and rest of the world was being colonized. Perception of considering modernity as opponent to Islamic teachings become obvious and broader image of Islam is becoming shorter and shorter enough. Actually GeoIslam community has intentions to be an imperative and effective part of Islamic revivalism.

GeoIslam community is also a struggle to awakening the Muslim world towards lost and forgotten Islamic heritage in the Islamic medieval times and Golden age of Islam, for examples Muslim Spain, Abbasid, Ottoman and after with Mughal, Safavid and later times. In the modern times, Muslim world has developed a series of new mental images about Islamic compatibility of Islam as religion and way of life for modern world, different perceptions of Islam and complex interpretation of different subjects particularly Science and modernity and modern subjects. GeoIslam community is striving to bring people on common point of view to remove confusion and led the path of peace with minimum ambiguity.

The founder and creator of GeoIslam Community is [Maratib Ali Shad]. He initiated GeoIslam Community in December 2003, by moderating and owning internet based group with the name GeoIslam. A famous group in this series is [GeoIslam yahoo group]. It is expanded as [GeoIslam facebook page]. Maratib Ali Shad is looking for people to collective work and interst in this initiative.
