And the PapiDimmi crazy train is chugging ahead at full speed! YOU CAN'T REMOVE FERRET'S COMMENT, DON'T YOU GET IT???

::::::There is no requirement or guideline to capitalize links and templates that I've ever heard of, feel free to point me to one though. They are almost always lowercase, including those added by many tools automatically. Your edit was pointless on that ground, and needless edit warring over several other small changes. As for "the" or "The", I don't really have enough interest to care. You had a chance to use the article's talk page, and like so many times before, decided to just keep repeating your edit. I'm not here to argue the merits of that one small detail. Hopefully in a month, you'll come back and edit, and if reverted, immediately stop and discuss rather than warring. -- ferret (talk) 16:50, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

::::::::Edit notes are not a discussion. I see zero edits to the article's talk page or Ivork's talk page by you. I do not see any effort in discuss the change with Ivork at your talk page. You simply repeated your position, and without hardly waiting at all made the edit again. Whether or not someone else edits the article in this regard is beyond my concern. Enjoy the month away, I am done attempting to explain whats wrong with your behavior here. -- ferret (talk) 17:01, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Revision as of 17:15, 17 July 2017

Take more care in edits please (Doctor Who)

Hello old friend. I'm a little confused by this edit you made as you have capitalised in places you don't need to / should not and taken the capitals out of what is clearly a "quoted" title as The Doctor as well as removed one of the hidden editors notices from the text. The Doctor Who article is often subjected to amateur good faith edits so the notices are really needed. Thanks — IVORK Discuss 12:27, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@IVORK: I did not undo a revision three times.
Anyway, the character is called “the Doctor,” not “The Doctor.” I also re-added the hidden HTML comment in the revision that you reverted. Papí talk 12:30, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You have made four reverts to Doctor Who in the last 24 hours. You're really trying my patience. Read WP:3RR again: An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page—whether involving the same or different material—within a 24-hour period.
Whether you are using "Undo", editing to an old diff, or simply repeating the same edit manually, it's a revert. Don't argue, don't give excuses, just stop doing it. -- ferret (talk) 12:40, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It is not a reversion if the edit is different. Papí talk 15:21, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not true, and you now have 5 reverts on this article — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:30, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t care that I’m blocked, but can someone please fix the error? “The” is not capitalized in “the Doctor.” Papí talk 15:31, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Ferret: Again, the character is not called “The Doctor.” Also, links and templates should be capitalized. Papí talk 16:37, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You had your chance to use the article's talk page and argue this, and chose the keep edit warring instead. Wait your month out and try again. -- ferret (talk) 16:42, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The page The Doctor (Doctor Who) does not capitalize “the” in “the Doctor,” so why should Doctor Who? Papí talk 16:45, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There is no requirement or guideline to capitalize links and templates that I've ever heard of, feel free to point me to one though. I did try to discuss, but I got no reply from IVORK after he reverted my revisions.
