The 2003–04 season was the 80th season in the existence of AEK Athens F.C. and the 45th consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. They competed in the Alpha Ethniki, the Greek Cup and the UEFA Champions League. The season began on 17 August 2003 and finished on 22 May 2004.

Note: At the 30th minute of the match on the stands there was a well-known banner that disapproved the coach of AEK, Dušan Bajević and in those days the administration took measures to ban its hanging on the railings, however that banner made its appearance on the field again, but what bothered the Bajević was a slogan that had to do with his family and specifically with his wife. Bajević left the field stating that it is his last match, his relations with the fans were never good during the 1,5 years he was in the team and with him also resigned the vice president, Petros Stathis. Bajević's assistant, Meletis Persias took over for the rest of the match.[20]
