Appleseed is an EP by American hip hop artist Aesop Rock, the second of two self-released efforts preceding his Mush debut, Float (2000). As Aesop's first EP, it is available only on CD-R. The title is a reference to the manga created by Masamune Shirow. The artwork was for this EP was done by Aesop Rock & Neal Usatin.[2] The track "Dryspell" liberally samples the song "Peace" by Ornette Coleman.
The album has since been re-released for the summer 2008 tour. However, only 1000 copies were printed. The EP has since been auctioned off at numerous websites, starting from 80 to 100 dollars.[3]
