More subcats?[edit]

Do we need category:Animated child characters with sub-cats Category:Animated child television characters and Category:Animated child film characters? If so, are those the best names for them? - Fayenatic (talk) 21:50, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As a matter of fact, I was pondering this very question -- and I think we probably should have at least one sub-cat. However, after looking through the parent cat, Category:Film characters, I was surprised to find out that there's no overall sub-cat for "characters in animated films". So I suppose we'll need to create that, as well -- along with serving as a parent cat for "Animated child characters", it would also bring some order to Category:Film characters. But let me give some thought to the exact best name for this particular sub-cat. Cgingold (talk) 22:08, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just created Category:Child characters in animated films -- it's better grammatically, and also consistent with how the other sub-cats are formulated. Still thinking about the other two, though. Perhaps Category:Child characters in animation? Cgingold (talk) 09:47, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How about Category:Child animated characters in television & Category:Child cartoon characters in film? Or something along those lines? For An Angel (talk) 21:29, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Under 18 or under 21[edit]

We need a solid answer on what defines a child according to these categories. It is getting really confusing, not to mention overlap with the teenage character categories. Placed it here since it applies to all of them. (Oinkers42) (talk) 00:16, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
