Countess Eloise Sophie Beatrix Laurence van Oranje-Nassau, Jonkvrouwe van Amsberg (born 8 June 2002 in Bronovo Hospital in The Hague), is the first child and daughter of TRH Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands.
By Royal Decree of 11 May 2001, nr. 227 is determined that all children of Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands will bear the title of Count (Countess) of Orange-Nassau and the honorific Jonkheer (Jonkvrouwe) van Amsberg, and have the surname Van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg. The titles are hereditary in male lineage.[1]
She is the first grandchild of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and her late husband, Prince Claus. She has two younger siblings, Count Claus-Casimir and Countess Leonore. Eloise was baptised on 15 December 2002 in the chapel of Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn. Her godparents are: Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway, Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau, Princess Carolina of Bourbon-Parma, and Sophie de Wouw. Countess Eloise is currently sixth in line to the Dutch throne.
Countess Eloise lives with her parents, her brother and her sister in Brussels, Belgium.
