Eileen Buggy is an Irish make-up artist and hairstylist. Having worked in the film industry since 1993,[1] she is a recipient of five Irish Film & Television Awards and one British Academy Television Craft Award.
Career
Buggy has worked with actors such as Anne Hathaway and Martin Sheen; Sheen reportedly "personally thanked her for giving him a perm" in Thaddeus O'Sullivan's 2011 film Stella Days.[2]
In 2009, Buggy was awarded an Irish Film & Television Award for Make-up & Hair on George Gently; she won the same award in 2010 for Zonad and in 2012 for Stella Days. In 2013, she received a British Academy Television Craft Award for Best Make-Up & Hair Design for her work on Ripper Street.[3] Following this, Buggy received two more Irish Film & Television Awards for Make-up & Hair: on Vita & Virginia in 2018[citation needed] and The Green Knight in 2022.[4]
Personal life
Eileen Buggy is the sister of actor Niall Buggy.[2] As of 2013 she was living in Drumcondra, Dublin.[2] She is married with four children.[2]
