Flintshire Local Education Authority

Flintshire County Council is the Local Education Authority of Flintshire, north Wales. It runs 75 primary schools, 3 special schools and 12 high schools.
Three of the schools have come together with Deeside College to form the Deeside Consortium.
The 12 high schools are:

- Elfed High School, Buckley
- Holywell High School, Holywell
- St David's High School, Flint
- Castell Alun High School, Hope[1]
- Ysgol Maes Garmon (Welsh language school), Mold
- John Summers High School, Queensferry
- Flint High School, Flint
- Connah's Quay High School, Connah's Quay
- Argoed High School, Mynydd Isa, near Buckley
- St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School, Flint

The Leader of the LEA is Councillor Arnold Woolley. The Executive member for Education and Libraries is Councillor Nigel Steele-Mortimer. The Director of Lifelong Learning (Chief Education Officer) is Ian Budd.
