South Sinai Governorate (Arabic: ‏محافظة جنوب سيناءMuḥāfaẓat Ǧanūb Sīnāʾ) is the least populated governorate of Egypt. It is located in the east of the country, encompassing the southern half of the Sinai Peninsula.
