Template:Infobox Paralympics Japan Japan competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. The country's delegation included a women's goalball team, men's and women's sitting volleyball teams, men's and women's wheelchair basketball teams, a wheelchair rugby team, and one wheelchair fencer.

Wheelchair fencing

Japan will have one competitor in wheelchair fencing, 42-year-old Toyoaki Hisakawa. This will be Hisakawa's third appearance at the Paralympic Games.[1]

Cycling Track

Masashi Ishii – Men's 1 km Time Trial (LC 3–4) – 1:08.771 World Record[2] won the gold medal.
