Johnny Chan is an actor and the star of numerous low-budget Hong Kong martial arts movies.
When his films were released on DVD, he gained slight notoriety among Western audiences because of the possible confusion between him and the considerably more successful Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan.[citation needed] There are also similarities between the names of the two actors' films. For example, Jackie Chan's Drunken Master (1978) was followed by Johnny Chan's Revenge of the Drunken Master (1984).
