Lighthouse Center is a retreat center for spiritual development where Selfless Service or Seva is practiced in addition to meditation on the Sound Current (Shabd). Lighthouse Center is largely synonymous with Manav Kendra.
Manav Kendra (literally "Man-making Center") was the term coined by Sant Kirpal Singh, Lighthouse Center was the term used by Sant Thakar Singh for the Manav Kendras he set up in the West.
There are many of these centers in India, and one Manav Kender in Mexico. There are four Lighthouse Centers in the United States: a 330-acre (1.3 km2) parcel near Umpqua, Oregon; a much smaller center in Kinderhook, New York (also called ECC or East Coast Center), one in Florida, called "The Farm", and one in Poland, near German and Czech border (Pobiedna).
