Like Father Like Son is a 1987 comedy film starring Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore. This film is a remake of the 1976 classic Disney film Freaky Friday. The film is one of four body swap comedies to appear in the space of a year; the others were the Italian film Da grande (1987),[1] 18 Again! (1988) and Vice Versa (1988). The blockbuster Big had a similar premise as well.

Synopsis

Chris Hammond (Kirk Cameron) is a high school senior. He's an average student, a decent track team participant, and likes a girl at school who happens to be dating a jock. His father Jack (Dudley Moore), a surgeon, wants him to get into an Ivy League school to study pre-med. Chris' friend Trigger (Sean Astin) has an uncle who had experimented with body-switching potions, and helps Jack and Chris switch brains.

Filming locations

The school used in the film was John Marshall High School, which was also used in Pretty in Pink. The Mojave Desert and Joshua Tree National Park were also used as filming locations. The hospital in the film is the naval hospital in San Diego.
