During filming, LC was shown having romantic involvement with childhood friend, Stephen. Much to her dismay, Stephen went on to date her rival, Kristin, and LC spent senior year partying with all of her close friends. After filming, LC went on to the San Francisco Art Institute to pursue a degree in Fashion Design. Whoever wrote this is a loser. << Whoever wrote that is also a loser.	Before living in Orange County with her brother and father, Kristin lived in Chicago with her mother. Before and during filming, she and then-boyfriend, Stephen, had a romantic relationship, despite his being close to childhood friend, LC, and her hooking up with other boys. After filming, Kristin went on to finish her senior year at LBHS.
Stephen Colletti (1986-02-13) February 13, 1986	Talan Torriero (1987-11-02) November 2, 1987
Before and during filming, he and then-girlfriend, Kristin, had a romantic relationship, despite his being close to childhood friend, LC, and her hooking up with other boys. After filming, Stephen went on to study at San Francisco State University to pursue a degree in television production. Stephen also turned homosexual for Zac Efron, consequently stealing him from his now ex girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens.	Talan was portrayed as a hunky surfer whose irresistible charm worked in his favor with the ladies. After filming, Talan went on to attend his senior year at LBHS.
Christina Schuller (1986-04-08) April 8, 1986	Morgan Olsen
She is the daughter of televangelist Dr. Robert A. Schuller, Senior Pastor of the Crystal Cathedral. During filming, Christina was shown promoting herself as a well-trained singer and pursuing music as her career, as shown in the Spring Break episode in which she attended a Broadway audition while she and best friend Morgan traveled to New York City. After filming, Christina went on to study at the University of Southern California and is roommates with Whitney Port, fellow co-star of LC on The Hills.	During filming, Morgan shared much of her camera time with best friend Christina, and production imaged her as the "good/innocent" girl. Morgan often stood out from the rest of the cast because of her decision to abstain from pre-marital sex. After filming, Morgan went on to study at Brigham Young University despite being rejected by the school, as shown on camera.
Trey Phillips (1986-09-15) September 15, 1986	Lo Bosworth (1986-09-29) September 29, 1986
During filming, production labeled Trey as "the thinking girl’s hunk." Much of his air time was spent promoting his non-profit organization Active Young America and hosting several charity events. After filming, Trey went on to study at Bard College in New York. Trey originally made an appearance during the third season of The Hills when LC took a trip to New York. Unfortunately his scene was cut out but it can be seen in the deleted scenes section of the third season DVD set.	During filming, Lo shared much of her camera time as a mini-fashionista with best friend LC but was really close friends with much of the cast. After filming, Lo went on to study at the University of California, Santa Barbara, later transferred to UCLA, and is currently a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Lo would later make appearances on The Hills eventually becoming roommates with best friend and Hills star LC.

During filming, Stephen continued to woo Kristin back into his life, and production depicted Kristin as the leader of a "power clique" that rivaled fellow cast members Alex M and Taylor. After filming, Kristin went on to study at Loyola Marymount University, and had a short-lived living arrangement with best friend Alex H. Kristin eventually dropped out of LMU to pursue a career as a television personality. In a Season 3 episode, Alex H made an appearance and stated that she and Kristin are no longer living together and moved in with Alex M.	Jessica first appeared in season 1 as Dieter's long-term girlfriend. During filming of season 2, Jessica was a part of Kristin's "power clique" and played girlfriend to resident bad boy, Jason. After filming, Jessica went on to study at a local college in Orange County with plans on graduating with a degree in teaching. Let's Go Travel Guides hired Jessica as a spokesperson and to travel to London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin in 2006, and asked her to post daily entries and photos on an internet blog.
Jason Wahler (1987-01-11) January 11, 1987	Alex "Alex M" Murrel (1987-01-29) January 29, 1987
During filming, production depicted Jason as the resident Don Juan. Jason has a love affair with ruining his romantic involvement with the ladies of Laguna, especially those with Jessica, Alex M, and LC as seen on camera. After filming, Jason moved out of his Laguna home and into an apartment in Los Angeles. He also has a younger brother, Alec, who is a tattoo artist in Iowa. Jason was also featured in several episode of The Hills alongside then-girlfriend, Lauren Conrad. Jason was also a featured contestant on MTV's Celebrity Rap Superstar.	During filming, production depicted Alex M as the leader of a "power clique" that rivaled fellow cast members Kristin, Jessica, and Alex H. Alex M was also one of the numerous female attractions toward the resident bad boy, Jason. After filming, Alex M moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career in music and into an apartment with close friend Britt. Alex M recorded her debut album that was said to be released on September 26, 2006. However, the album was put on hold and later canceled by her label, Eyecon Enterprises. In a Season 3 episode, Alex H made an appearance and stated that she and Kristin are no longer living together and now has moved in with Alex H.
Taylor Cole (1987-02-12) February 12, 1987	Talan Torriero (1986-11-02) November 2, 1986
During filming, Taylor was the sweet and quiet best friend of Alex M, who was the leader of a "power clique" rivaling Kristin and her friends. Taylor was also shown dating fellow cast member and charming heartthrob, Talan, several times, but later rejected him. Taylor went on to study at the University of Arizona to pursue a degree in psychology, and is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.	During filming, Talan was seen pursuing a romantic affair with fellow castmate, Taylor, but later moved on to Kristin after being rejected by Taylor. After filming, Talan eventually dropped out of high school near the end of the second season and got his GED.
Lauren "LC" Conrad (1986-02-01) February 1, 1986	Stephen Colletti (1986-02-13) February 13, 1986
During filming, LC came home to Laguna after a tough semester, taking up classes at a local college in Orange County, and working with various fashion companies. The next fall, she moved to Los Angeles with close friend, Heidi Montag, and transferred to FIDM and earned an internship with Teen Vogue Magazine. Lauren had her road to independence documented on a Laguna spin-off entitled The Hills.	During filming, Stephen comes back to Laguna several times in an attempt to woo back ex-girlfriend, Kristin, who takes in his romantic vibes but continuously says no. After filming, Stephen withdrew from San Francisco State University and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Stephen is also a recurrent VJ on MTV's Total Request Live. Stephen may also be seen in several episodes of the WB's One Tree Hill, alongside former MTV VJ Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray.

Season 3

Before filming, Tessa was put in the hospital, placed under a medically-induced coma after suffering from Stevens-Johnson syndrome, catalyzed by an allergic reaction to an antibiotic for acne prescribed by her dermatologist. During filming, production depicted Tessa as a rival to Kyndra due to feeling ditched by Kyndra during a "time that [she] needed her the most." After filming, Tessa left LBHS after her Junior year to attend San Clemente High School for her senior year. She is now working on her modeling career.	Before filming, Rocky was close friends with Breanna but an unexplained rift between the two caused Rocky to become closer with Tessa. During filming, Rocky stayed close to Tessa during her supposed rivalry versus Kyndra and her cohorts. Rocky later rekindled her friendship with Breanna but drew further away from Tessa, who withdrew from LBHS. She was also shown dating Alex, a boy from another high school. After filming, Rocky went on to finish her Senior year at LBHS.
Kyndra Mayo (1989-06-29) June 29, 1989	Cameron Brinkman (1989-01-30) January 30, 1989
Kyndra was homeschooled before and during filming, but remained close friends with Cami. Kyndra became close with much of the Laguna cast, but still maintained a role as the leader of the pack, calling the shots when it came to parties and friendships. After filming, Kyndra stated in an interview, that "if everyone played the little nice girl, then no one's gonna watch the show. So I'd rather draw people into watching it.". After the show Kyndra did not attend LBHS for her senior year. Last spring Kyndra got breast implants.	During filming, Cameron was depicted as the stereotypical "player" when it came to dating. He was first seen dating Jessica (of season 2) while hooking up both with Kyndra and Tessa, as seen in the episode in which he travels with Tessa to San Diego. Although much of his friends were graduating seniors, it did not deter his ability to reign as a heartthrob and player during his own senior year. Cameron is now a part-time professional video game tester for EA Sports in Vancouver.
Breanna Conrad (1989-08-23) August 23, 1989	Alexandra "Lexie" Contursi (1989-09-18) September 18, 1989
As LC's kid sister, Breanna was to hold her own as teen royalty, but had much less time in the lime light than her older sister. During filming, Breanna was close with neighbor, Lexie, and attempted to rekindle her friendship with ex-best friend Rocky. After filming, Breanna went on to finish her Senior year at LBHS.	During filming, production labelled Lexie as the resident "Ice Princess" because of her icy, stand-offish demeanor. Lexie also enjoys dancing and has a career goal of becoming a professional dancer. She spent much of her camera time without a boy on her arm, but was seen on a single double date with her friend, Tara. After filming, Lexie went on to finish her senior year at LBHS. Lexie reportedly is now dancing at Dance Precisions in Placentia, CA.
Kelan Hurley (1987-07-28) July 28, 1987	Cameron "Cami" Edwards (1989-03-24) March 24, 1989
During filming, Kelan was shown as a guitarist who shared much of his camera time with fellow Open Air Stereo bandmates Chase, Braeden, and Nick G. It was also noted that Kelan had a long time crush on fellow cast member, Lexie, for much of the season. After filming, Kelan went on to study at San Diego State University where he is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. It is apparent that Kelan is no longer a member of Open Air Stereo anymore.	During filming, Cami played a popular girl along with best friend Kyndra and production depicted Cami as the "Queen of Mean" and was often seen making fun of Tessa and Raquel with her smart remarks and sarcastic personality. After filming, Cami went on to finish Senior year at LBHS.
Chase Johnson (1987-07-17) July 17, 1987
Chase shared much of his camera time with his childhood friend Tessa, his basement band and friends Kelan, Braeden, and Nick G. The band's musical endeavor's was a major plot point throughout the season. Chase's band, Open Air Stereo, has a contract with Sony/Epic Records.

Christina "Chrissy" Schwartz (1989-07-25) July 25, 1989	Clay Adler (1989-08-20) August 20, 1989
After her senior year at Newport Harbor High School, Chrissy went on to college at UC Santa Barbara (despite the fact that most of the footage was shot at Santa Barbara City College) where she is a member of Pi Beta Phi. As a college freshman Chrissy juggles between the two boys in her life, Clay and Billy. In Season 2: Home for the Holidays, Chrissy revealed that she will be transferring from UCSB to USC for the spring semester. She now attends USC since Los Angeles will be closer to home than Santa Barbara.	In season 2 (Home for the Holidays), Clay continues his senior year at Newport Harbor High School.
Allison "Allie" Stockton (1989-02-15) February 15, 1989	Sasha Dunlap (1989-05-06) May 6, 1989
After her senior year at Newport Harbor High School, Allie along with her friend Samantha went on a trip to Europe during the summer. Upon returning from their trip, they moved to Los Angeles. On the fourth episode of Season 2: Home for the Holidays, Allie returns from L.A. to her parents' new home, a country club. She also gets a job at Dame, a fashion boutique in Santa Monica.	Chrissy's best friend. She also enjoys playing Tennis with Chrissy(as shown in episode she and Chrissy running to stay in shape for Tennis). In the earlier episodes,season 1, Samantha told Allie that Sasha has been dressing better and has prettier dresses. Sasha came back for Home for The Holidays episode(season 2)for Thanksgiving with Chrissy's family. Sasha also met Chrissy's friends in Home For The Holidays.
Grant Newman (1989-10-07) October 7, 1989	Chase Cornwell (1988-07-25) July 25, 1988
Grant is now a senior at Newport Harbor High School. Grant is Clay's best friend. He is also known as GBall. Grant always seems to have the right advice for Clay when it comes to the ladies.	Chase broke up with Taylor and is now with Kylie, Chrissy's sorority sister. Though Kylie remains unsure if moving in with Chase would be the right thing to do, she continues to attend school at UC Santa Barbara.
