Live Up to Your Name[3] (Korean명불허전; RRMyeongbulheojeon; lit. Deserving of the Name) is a 2017 fantasy medical South Korean television series starring Kim Nam-gil and Kim Ah-joong about skilled doctors of the 17th and 21st century. The series marks Kim Nam-gil's small screen comeback after four years. It aired on tvN from August 12 to October 1, 2017 at 21:00 KST.[4][5][6]

Synopsis

Heo Im (Kim Nam-gil) is a doctor who works at Haeminseo during daytime and earns a fortune by making visits to high-ranking officials' houses at night. He's famous for his excellent acupuncture skills. One day, he falls into a river and travels to the modern day. There, he runs into Choi Yeon-kyung (Kim Ah-joong) who works as a doctor at Shinhae Hospital.

Live Up to Your Name, Dr. Heo is written by Kim Eun-hee of The Queen's Classroom (2013), and directed by Hong Jong-chan of Dear My Friends (2016). It was produced by Bon Factory, the same company that produced The Liar and His Lover (2017).[8]
