Neverwinter Nights (series)

Neverwinter Nights is a series of video games developed by BioWare, Obsidian Entertainment and Cryptic Studios, based on the Forgotten Realms campaign setting of the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. The Neverwinter Nights Series is a follow-up to the Savage Frontier (series) which introduced the city of Neverwinter.

The series takes place in the city-state Neverwinter, in the fictional world of Faerûn. In the first two games Neverwinter is a bustling location the second largest city on the Sword Coast, the first being Waterdeep and (at the time) the third being Baldur's Gate, however within the hundred years gap between Neverwinter Nights 2 and Neverwinter, the spellplague struck the city and reduced it to ruins.

A new game called Neverwinter has been announced to be a multiplayer game taking place 100 years after the happenings of Neverwinter Nights 2.
Neverwinter for PC is scheduled to release in "late" 2012 [1]
