Rudrapur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Deoria district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2011 India census,[1] Rudrapur had a population of 4,39,763. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Rudrapur has an average literacy rate of 67%, lower than the national average of 74%: male literacy is 59%, and female literacy is 41%. In Rudrapur, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.

History

Rudrapur was the kingdom of Satasi Raj, The satasi Raj fort is still there & lots of people visit every day.Dugdheshwar nath temple(Old Shiv Mandir) is located near rudrapur city.it is one of the oldest temple in deoria district. Miss Kadambri singh is only one nominee of this fort.
