Samrajyam ([] Error: {{Lang-xx}}: no text (help) The Empire) is a 1990 Indian Malayalam-language gangster film directed by Jomon. The film stars Mammootty as Alexander, a powerful crime boss.
A sequel to Samrajyam is announced under the title would be Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander with Tamil director Perarasu directing the movie.[1]

Sequel
Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander starring Unni Mukundan in lead. The movie will be the debut Malayalam venture of Tamil director Perarasu. Twentyone years from the original, this sequel will be telling an underworld plot with the son of Alexander.[1]
Box office
The film ran over 200 days in Kerala and 100 days in Tamil Nadu and 285 days in Andhra.[2][3] [4] The film was highly successful.[5][6]
