Template problems are misleading the user[edit]

I've temporarily taken out the image because I think it's misleading and actually makes it harder to find the data. This is clearly one attack near the border and there's no sense giving the impression that the whole region is in flames by marking the political subdivision rather than the location. What I want is to use a locator map to produce an actual dot (it was hard to notice, but we do link to the GeoHack of the exact coordinates in the infobox!) Problem is, Template:Infobox military conflict is impossible to figure out quickly. I have no idea why the marks don't show up, the documentation refers me vaguely to stuff that doesn't exist in another template, and the first dozen battles I tried looking up use only pretty pictures (or none) in this spot because apparently they can't figure out if it supports a location map either.

Can anyone quickly sort out how to do this with a proper location mark? I'm thinking this needs to be fixed in the template, maybe even in first-principles philosophy of how we code these locations. I mean, we have lots of special templates like Template:Infobox settlement with their own names and syntax for similar parameters. This is a damn mess. Wnt (talk) 15:26, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy.....[edit]

So where is the reference for "Israeli secret intelligence and gangsters,"?

Also, "weapon-mounted vehicles with machine guns".......this should read "vehicle mounted weapons", but could be left out entirely.

Nothing about an RPG hitting an ammo bunker.

And how does "and that bullet and heavy weapon casings were found at the site."[8] equal "and that heavy cast bullets were found at the site"[article]???

I'm kind of new to this.....I stick mainly with reference pages and not current events, so I didn't just edit. But I can't help but think "Accuracy"......accuracy and a neutral point of view. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stretch0069 (talkcontribs) 11:33, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
