Loose translation[edit]

This article is a modified loose translation of the Swedish article with the same name. Parts of the original Swedish article (primarily the list of conductors) were written by myself. Kaspersu (talk) 05:05, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since the original loose translation I have added some entirely new content to the English article. Kaspersu (talk) 07:14, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My intention is to expand the article sometime in the near future, in particular I intend to write a subsection about the complex matter of when and where the choir actually was founded (Dahlström gives quite a lot of information in Akademiska Sångföreningen 1838-1988). Another matter that needs attention is the sources for (and expansion of) the 20th century history. Furthermore, separate (sub)sections about formal organization, repertoire and recent tours should be interesting. I also have access the seal or logo in high quality, but I need to work out the details of possible copyright issues before I upload it. Using the logo in the article should count as fair use, but I am yet to receive my "established user" status (if that will really make uploading fair use pictures possible I do not know). With some improvements and extensions it shouldn't be impossible to reach B-Class, I think. As for importance rating, my suggestion is Mid. Anyone that disagrees? Kaspersu (talk) 07:10, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Finnish choirs is itself a category within Category:Finnish musical groups. — Robert Greer (talk) 14:51, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New official web page[edit]

Since Akademiska Sångföreningen has got an entirely new official web page, the references are in need of a complete overhaul. I'll get into it as soon as I find the time. KasperSu Talk to me 21:50, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
