Inheritance: Women, BRCA, and Hereditary Cancer (film, 2019)[edit]

Ms. Campoverdi describes herself as a Women's Health Advocate. It ought to be public knowledge that a medical device company was the corporate sponsor of an $800,000 film she made; parts of the film play like an ad for elective cosmetic surgery without mentioning any of the risks and bad effects of liposuction or breast implants, therefore I propose adding this section Inheritance: Woman, BRCA, and Hereditary Cancer (film, 2019) to the page.

"Alejandra Campoverdi appeared in the film Inheritance[1] she and documentarian Jonathan Silvers co-produced about an inherited variant for the BRCA gene. The gene equates to a higher than average risk for breast and / or ovarian cancer.

A medical device company, Sientra Breast Implant Company, is the corporate sponsor of the film that had an estimated $800,000 budget.

The film follows multiple women as they experience mastectomy. Alongside warnings about the BRCA gene and a controversial look at pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, several of the stories include elective plastic surgery.

Science shows that liposuction causes an increase in disease producing visceral fat and may cause many health and aesthetic problems. Nowhere in the film are the dangers and problems of liposuction mentioned. Juliet Sabine (talk) 00:58, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

info about documentary[edit]

A good portion about the documentary that Alejandra was affiliated with seems irrelevant to her as a person. I suggest deleting the information that editorializes about the film's content.

I also want to disclose that I know Alejandra personally; however, my edits are all neutral and backed by sources. Nickscoby (talk) 20:12, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
