China only participate 12 games[edit]

Hello, I think P.R.China only participate 12 Asian games, from 1974 to 2018, not 16 games. And if we sum up the number of gold medals from Wikipedia, it's 1474, not 1473, as follows: 33+51+61+94+183+126+129+150+165+199+151+132 = 1474. So, where is wrong? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.102.208.96 (talk) 10:25, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I see. It's because of 1994 Asian games. Some place it's 126 gold medals, other place it's 125 gold medals. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.102.208.96 (talk) 10:31, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know what caused the discrepancy? Howard the Duck (talk) 18:51, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The correct number is 1474 for China, and I have the name of all 1474 gold medalists. there are so many mistakes in the current table. I will fix it with accurate numbers for all countries after few days, a bit lazy now because there are so many IP users making edits based on wrong sources, they will stop it after few days hopefully. These should have been protected during the games then was updated after the games were done. People will add their pet athletes and don't complete everything up. Howard the Duck (talk) 07:37, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes sure, but we also can wait 3-4 more days when people forget about vandalizing, but yes you are right in face. Mohsen1248 (talk) 08:19, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers don't match source[edit]

I cannot find these numbers in the source. What is the source of the table in the article, then? Teemeah 편지 (letter) 14:30, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dont change medal tally entries only for one country.[edit]

All-time medal tally shall only be changed after the ongoing games is conclude. It has been observed that some contributors are changing the medal counts for only one country (India). This will make it confusing. You can't have only one country's medal count to be updated and all others are kept as same as of 2018 ChandlerMinh (talk) 07:52, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
