Crematorium[edit]

I question statement the crematorium was opened in 1962 - unless it is a rebuilding of an earlier one - because the Commonwealth War Graves Commission record two New Zealand servicemen cremated there in the 1940s.Cloptonson (talk) 14:40, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The crematorium is only a part of the cemetery. It is clear from the article that the cemetery has been open since at least the early 20th century.-gadfium 22:18, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that the Crematorium opened in 1926 (or thereabouts) and therefore what is most likely is that the digits in the year date have somehow got transposed. I will try to find a source for the opening date and then fix the article. Daveosaurus (talk) 07:25, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Further to the previous, I've seen comments recently (unfortunately in sources which do not meet WP:RS) that the current Crematorium replaced the original one. I'll keep an eye out for anything more reliable. Daveosaurus (talk) 06:18, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
