30th Premier ?
[edit]The infobox lists Bernard Lord as the 30th Premier of New Brunswick since Confederation. However, since George E. King was Premier for two non-consecutive mandates, doesn't this make Bernard Lord the 29th Premier and not the 30th ? DH | 2¢ | 23:58, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Not according to the New Brunswick legislature who counts King twice. Note his successor Graham's bio cites him as the 31st and Lord therefore is the 30th. There was actually an article on this in one of the papers. Though PMs are only counted twice federally, New Brunswick follows the U.S. model where they are counted if they return for a second go around. Grover Clevland is both the 22nd and 24th president of the US. - Jord 02:42, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- PM's of Canada, are counted 'only' once. GoodDay 21:43, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I know this, however that is not the practice followed by the New Brunswick government and we should use their standard should we not? - Jord 22:27, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I wasn't questioning the New Brunswick method. Just pointing out, you mistakenly said PM's of Canada were counted twice. GoodDay 23:25, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Three consecutive popular votes?
[edit]"Bernard Lord is the only Premier in the history of New Brunswick to win three consecutive popular votes" wtf! that's just not true... what about McKenna and LJR? Check out the pages for those elections. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 139.103.66.46 (talk) 12:43, 12 April 2007 (UTC).
