Wandering what light is shed by the prescence of the tomato in Australia on our knowledge of the tectonic shifts that separated the Australian continent from South America and Antarctica when Gondwana broke up. Myles325a (talk) 06:43, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Added Pix[edit]

I added pix of the fruit and plant that I took at Watarrka National Park, NT, Australia, but my login must have expired, and wasn't noted as such; only by IP 72.86.22.242. MaxwellPerkins (talk) 18:47, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Bush tomato/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

According to a discussion on the Bushfood forums (bushfood.net), some of the information on this page is dangerously incorrect; quite a lot of Australia's solanum species are very toxic, even after preparation. We are brainstorming another article at this thread (http://bushfood.net/viewtopic.php?p=6074) and will upload/update as information comes to hand.
