POV

I deleted this blatant POV, it seems to be too obviously POV, and i don't think it's necessarily true either, as a BOL listener. "Also encourage the prolateriat to organize against the evil capitalism that Microsoft represents so that we might once have a society in which there are no rich or poor people." "Have been known to report rumors, innuendo, gossip, hearsay as fact. Reports should be taken in the context of an anti-business bias." Should we keep that or delete it? In my opinion it's not true (of course they're speculating a lot - but they say "it's just a rumor"), or can anyone give an example? "Anti-business bias" - is it POV to say that DRM is bad? I don't think so... (That is almost as if someone tried to say that evolution is POV - rational, educated folks know it's true...)

Red Links

I think there are too many redlinks. I understand that you should not remove red links if it is a good topic for an article. I don't think that any of the people with red links are well-known enough to warrant their own articles. I'll remove the red links, but would like any feed back here. Each time I start a Molly Wood page, it gets deleted. Granted, the starts aren't that good, but what's up with the deletions? If there's no Wood or Merritt page, there shouldn't be a link to those absent pages. -- garlic 208.20.220.72 21:53, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Request to registered-wiki users

Please, if you have listened to this show and are a registered user, I request that this page's quality be improved upon. I will look into this when time permits, but the readability of the article is poor and considering the recent calls for deletion of one of the cast member's wiki pages, I think an overhaul of the related pages will need to be done as well to prevent other such calls of deletion. For reverting links back? Have you acquired the authority to ban users? Do we need an arbitrator involved? Fan links are permitted on Wikipedia, don't delete the Flickr page or the Frappr group. Both are extremely relevant to BuzzOutLoud. --buzzoutloudfan

I cannot ban users however I can as all users can refer incidents to Admins. Please see WP:COOL before anything else. After reading Wikipedia guidelines you can see 1 link to a fan based site is fine not multiple ones. Spam is not permitted on Wikipedia.

CNET Edits

Full disclosure: I'm the social media manager at CNET. We are hoping to update the Buzz Out Loud Wikipedia page and would like to make the following changes. We would like to add the fact that users can participate in a live chat about the show, remove the photo and caption of Jason Howell as he is no longer with the show, update the out of date photo of Molly Wood, remove the reference to the firing of Jeff Gerstmann as it doesn't feel like an important fact in Buzz Out Loud history, and remove Rafe Needleman from the list of show hosts. These things all seem fine. I think that as long as all of them are done in an NPOV way and care is taken that policy is followed you should be fine doing that. I do think the firing thing probably was a good thing to have back when it was inserted, not sure it is that important now, at the time it was though. Dbrodbeck (talk) 01:17, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
