Choice of images[edit]

The postcard collection I have has these four views of the park. (There are none of the club or casino.) Any opinions as to which one should be in the info box? Parkerdr 22:34, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Casino ballroom

I have figured out that this image is from the casino ballroom/dining room, taken around 1907. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Parkerdr (talkcontribs) 15:37, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Richard Canfield's involvement[edit]

Before my recent edit, the text stated "In 1883, Richard Albert Canfield took a partnership in the Saratoga Clubhouse, and bought it outright the following year for $250,000." However, the US National Register of Historic Places gives the date of purchase by Canfield as 1894 and this is also confirmed by other Saratoga sources. So I've changed the date of purchase and removed "the following year", since 1894 is not the year after 1883. This all suggests that the date of Canfield's first involvement might have been 1893 not 1883. Bermicourt (talk) 18:57, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is now resolved. The source appears to be “Preservation Matters” Strolling Through History: Canfield Casino at saratogapreservation.org. Bermicourt (talk) 18:11, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
