Constant temperature[edit]

The claim that chalk springs "rarely deviates from 10 ºC" must surely depend on the particular spring, and thus not be a safe generalization worldwide? -- Mwanner | Talk 13:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of Chalk Streams in other Countries etc[edit]

This articloe might be improved by adding a list of chalk streams in Continental Europe and elsewhere (?Denmark, ?Germany). Are there no chalk streams in Sussex? The Mill Stream, Arundel woulkd appear to be one? Barney Bruchstein (talk) 18:57, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The New Scientist www.newscientist.com A British publication contradicts this Wikipedia entry in an article by Graham Lawton regarding the number of chalk streams in England. Lawton days it’s 170 out of 210 worldwide, not 160. 18 February 2013, p. 13. User: Art Goodtimes — Preceding unsigned comment added by Art Goodtimes (talkcontribs) 02:08, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
