Party or not?[edit]

This article treats MCL as an organisation, but not a party. The name also does not refer to any party. On the other hand, MCL is a member of the Centrist Democrat International, whose members usually are considered to be parties. It is listed as a "member party" in our article about the CDI. It is also an item on List of Christian Democratic parties.

This is slightly contradicting. Does any one have an opinion on this, or some clear information about e. g. how MCL classifies themselves? More concretely: Should we put this article into Category:Political parties in Cuba?

This is not very important; but if there is some chriterion for classifying MCL one way or another, and this criterion could be applied more generally, then it might be a little easier to get some order in the articles about and categories containing Cuban political parties.
