Confusing or unclear information: the episode summaries. Tamajared 00:02, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Major Cleanup[edit]

Since I have all but the last show of the TBN version on VHS; I may visit this page to make it look less sloppy.

I may also move the episode listing to a separate article.

WAVY 10 01:59, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Funny. I don't remember seeing episode 42 or the finale when they were first run, let alone as reruns. Can someone explain when those took place?

WAVY 10 16:45, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, they just got deleted. No matter.

Cast Members/Older shows[edit]

Does anyone have any information as to what became of the cast? And also what happened to the earlier (1987-95) broadcasts?

WAVY 10 19:49, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found some information on 3 of the cast members online. The bad news is that it's fairly outdated. I'll work my way around it and see what I can do.

These are the cast members:

  • Danielle Kincebach (entire run of TBN series)
  • Jessica Adams (Seasons 1-2)
  • Delana Tillman (First 9 episodes of Season 1 only)

WAVY 10 15:18, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some sources say Leeann Rimes used to be on the show but has tried to cover it up by threatening legal action. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.135.181.24 (talk) 04:03, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Older versions of this page provided a list of cast members. While the reason for removing the list is unclear, it might be worth bringing the list back.

If the reason for removal was the inability to verify the names of the cast members, Colby's Clubhouse still airs on the "Smile of a Child" network and the network's programs are simulcast on Smile's website. Verification can be done by simply watching the closing credits. If something more official is required, Hanneke Jacobs can answer questions about the show via Email. 64.208.159.230 (talk) 18:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If no reliable, third-party sources can be found for an article topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it.

Hanneke Jacobs and her husband Peter Jacobs were the creators and producers of Colby's Clubhouse. For information about the cast members and the show, they are as reliable as you can get 64.208.159.230 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:39, 14 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]

What part of "third party" did you fail to understand? HrafnTalkStalk(P) 16:50, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Complete Rewrite[edit]

This page is way too confusing. I think it needs to be completely rewritten, and the cast lists removed. Tamajared 22:11, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Danielle Kincebach is now Danielle Fraizer. They both work at St Pauls church in Orange. Danielle is Director of Dramatic Arts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 13.13.16.2 (talk) 17:38, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, congrats to her but what purpose does that comment have here? (Since there is no article for her anymore, I don't know what can be done). WAVY 10 16:37, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now that the article survived...[edit]

How exactly do we go about cleaning the article up?

WAVY 10 21:14, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a start. Move the episode lists to a separate article or delete this section.

WAVY 10 14:08, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Separate Section(s)[edit]

I am in the process of beginning working on the episodes in case we decide to move them to a separate article. I intend to pattern the episodes in a style much like your Disney Channel show pages (Hannah Montana, for example).

WAVY 10 16:01, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Beginning the Work[edit]

These are the four episodes I intend to begin with.

1. "Colby's Birthday" (episode 9) It is Colby’s birthday. Seven former cast members visit the set. Christ is shown in this episode – also, segments from 1986, 1989 and 1991 are shown.

Songs: I’ve Got that Joy, Joy, The Body Song, Give it Away, God Uses Kids, Great is Your Faithfulness

2. "It's Not By Might" Lindsey is angry at Delana for accidentally shrinking her favorite sweater. A game show is also shown called “A Price is Paid” Lindsey learns about forgiveness.

Songs: I Can’t Do That, Let Us Love One Another, Stubborn Old Pharaoh, He Must Be Beautiful.

3. "Basketball and Bullies" Kevin is being picked on by a bully in Gym named Lucas. Matt tells Kevin he should make a deal with Lucas. Kevin will help Lucas with math, and Lucas will give Kevin some pointers in basketball. Lucas apologizes.

Songs: Don’t Cha Know, It’s Not By Might, Faith on the Line, It’s His Love, God Knows What He’s Doing.

4. "Krysta's Sister has Problems" Krysta finds out her sister, Jan , is taking drugs. Krysta and her sister talk about it, and pray. Jan promises not to do drugs again.

Songs: Children of the Father, Psalm 139 Rap, Give it Away, A Heart to Give, You’re So Amazing.

WAVY 10 23:15, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am putting this plan on hold for the time being. I noticed recently that episodes for The Suite Life of Zack and Cody are being proposed for deletions or merging into another article. WAVY 10 14:43, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am officially cancelling this plan. I do recommend, however, creating an episode list and moving those to a separate page. WAVY 10 13:50, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who are these kids?[edit]

Someone keeps adding the names Angie Guyeer, Drew Drisco, and Jard Gimble to the cast list, and more recently, trying to state that for some reason; these cast members weren't shown on the credits for legal reasons. My problem is this...

1. Why on earth would TBN have to enter legal wrangling over the inclusion of a few kids on a CHILDREN'S PROGRAM?

2. As stated earlier, I have nearly all of these episodes recorded on VHS and/or DVD; and outside of the ones that were credited, I couldn't count any additional cast members.

3. If they were guests on an episode; they should NOT be added to the main cast!

Any discussion about the cast needs to talk place here on the talk page.

WAVY 10 13:43, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just removed their names and "Lost Cat" cruft. I also added an advisory asking that those edits not be included. WAVY 10 12:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Calm down, dude. 72.145.38.56 16:54, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1987 and 1995 versions[edit]

Aren't the original 1987 show and the 1995 TBN version technically two separate shows? WAVY 10 19:25, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Table[edit]

I will probably try to convert the episodes to the table format (see for example List of Hannah Montana episodes). WAVY 10 17:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also I think that, if more information can be found on the Colby character, we could consider possibly separating the character info from the series. WAVY 10 17:14, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think so. Colby does not seem notable enough. At all. Tamajared 17:23, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move[edit]

I moved the episodes to a separate page. WAVY 10 17:44, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Colby's Clubhouse music song video clip here on YouTube[edit]

Folks, we found a video song music clip from the Colby's Clubhouse that it was added on October 27, 2007 right here on the popular video website YouTube, so good luck. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.90.178.88 (talk) 19:07, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unverifiable information & excessive plot summaries[edit]

WP:V clearly states that (i) "the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth" & (ii) "the burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material."

WP:PLOT states "the coverage of a fictional work should not be a mere plot summary." HrafnTalkStalk(P) 04:03, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

excessive plot summaries[edit]

Moving plot summaries to talk page per 2007 discussions for further discussion. Replacing with simple episode list... Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 15:32, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
