Secular[edit]

Hi, I've removed secular as an identity for that party but You undo the changes.... Don't know why.... That party believes in the Arab & Islamic identity & believes that Islamic Sharia is a main source of laws, so it's not secular party.... Look to its principles & goals.... here: http://www.cpr.tn/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=100%3A-17-2011&catid=41%3Atextes-fondateurs&Itemid=70&lang=ar

so at least when we can make sure officially it's a secular party we can't make it a secular....

In the link you provided they state that they differentiate radically between belief (religious) and ideology and they consider the religious belief to be a personal freedom. I guess that qualifies as a sort of secularism. The reference to Islamic/Arab history is about identity. --Tachfin (talk) 09:24, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly :).... It accept all religions but under one identity which is Islamic/Arabic one.... If he said only Arab I would say it's a secular but he said Islamic identity, I can't see this by anyway as secularism or we'd consider Islamic Parties which have other religions inside it as secularism too like Muslim Brotherhood parties for example which believes in freedom of religion too even the vice president of the Muslim Brotherhood party is a christian :D.... --elbarck (talk) 19:40, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is not us who decide this, but reliable sources as e.g. BBC and the Daily Telegraph. Your deliberations perfectly qualify for the definition of original research. As long as RS's tag the party as secular, it is secular for Wikipedia. Your own perceptions and analysis cannot change this. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards --RJFF (talk) 21:58, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's very weird, The Muslim Brotherhood Party in Egypt Freedom & Justice Party, its Vice president is a christian But BBC & Daily Telegraph consider it religious & not secular.... I think it's about their thoughts not the facts.... If you consider my argument & Wikipedia does, it should at least remove secular for further confirmation especially I put the link from the official web-site party NOT my opinion....--elbarck (talk) 05:22, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
